Last year’s roaring success, guild’s hiking trip, returns more glorious than ever! This year we’ll pack our bags and head for none other than Finland’s most legendary hiking route, Oulangan Kansallispuisto and it’s 82km long Karhunkierros! This trip will take place between 22.9 and 26.9, so stunning autumn colors are all but guaranteed. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
This hike is appropriate for all skill levels, and is an especially fine chance for beginning hikers to experience one of Finland’s most beautiful sceneries. Please note, however, that this is not an all-accessible trip, as good physical and mental endurance is needed. The trip goes through sometimes challenging terrain, and sleeping overnight will take place in tents. We will, however, try to take everyone’s individual abilities and wishes into account when creating the groups.
In preparation for the trip we’ll organize an info-evening, where we’ll go through all the necessities of hiking, such as equipment, sustenance, good practices, etc. Especially those less experienced are highly recommended to take part in this preparation. Please also note that the organizers cannot provide any equipment. If you do not own sufficient hiking equipment, there are some rental options in addition to purchasing them yourself.
